UK and Ireland Greyhounds

Antepost wagers are accepted on the basis all-in run or not, entered or not. Where Each-Way Antepost bets are placed on a Greyhound which is subsequently declared a non-runner for a final (having qualified for it), resulting in the original place terms offered being greater than the number of runners in the final, then the selection will be settled as placed (with Dead Heat rules applying where necessary). This does not apply to Greyhounds that are disqualified at the Semi-Final stage, or in finals where a reserve replaces the absent Greyhound.

To Qualify for the Final – Once a Greyhound has qualified for a specified final, bets will be settled as a winner (even if they are subsequently declared a non-runner for that final). This does not apply to Greyhounds that are disqualified at the Semi-Final stage.

All bets placed after the semi-finals are non-runner no-bet. If a greyhound is withdrawn at that stage any bets placed after the semi-finals prior to the withdrawal will be settled at SP.

Greyhound bets are accepted for all meetings whose card is published on our Website.

Each-Way betting at starting prices will be settled as follows:

8 runners: one fifth the odds for the first three places.

5, 6 or 7 runners: one quarter the odds for the first two places.

Less than 5 runners: the place part goes to win.

Where a client selects a trap number from which no selection runs, in singles, doubles, trebles, etc, then this will be treated as a non-runner.

If a reserve dog runs the following settlement rules apply: If a trap number is selected and a reserve runs then bets on the trap number will be settled on the reserve at SP. Bets on all other dogs in the race where a price was taken before the reserve was announced will be settled at SP. If a named dog (No reserves) is selected and a reserve runs in place of the named dog then the bet will be settled as a non-runner. Where a price is taken then bets on named dogs placed prior to withdrawal in a race where a reserve runs from a different trap will be settled at SP.

Payment will be made on the official result of races. Bets will be void in the event of no Starting Price being returned. Amelco reserves the right to declare void any bets where it considers there to be reasonable suspicion or evidence of unfair price manipulation.

When a race is re-run all bets stand. However, where a price has been taken, settlement will be at the Starting Price returned on the re-run. Should a race be declared void and not re-run then all selections will be treated as non-runners.

In the event of abandonment or postponement to races where early prices have been offered, all bets will stand as long as the races are rescheduled and completed. However bets where a price has been taken will be settled at the Starting Price, should a non-runner, in the specified race, be declared.

Early Prices

In the event of any withdrawals resulting in either a vacant trap or a reserve greyhound running then all bets taken at early prices prior to withdrawal will be settled at SP.

Favourites

Wagers will be accepted win only at starting price for unnamed favourites. The Place part of any wager inadvertently accepted for unnamed favourites will be settled as a Win stake.

In the event of two selections starting joint favourites then stakes are divided equally.

Where three or more selections start co-favourites stakes will be divided proportionately. However, if such joint favourites or co-favourites are returned at a price whereby, irrespective of result, no profit could be accrued by the backer of the favourite, the unnamed favourite will be treated as a non-runner, in both single and accumulative bets.

Should the favourite be withdrawn before coming under starter's orders but too late for a new market to be formed then bets on the favourite in that particular race are void. In the event of a joint or co-favourite being withdrawn then the proportion of stakes on that selection will be void and the remaining proportion of stakes will be divided equally on the selections that do run.

Forecasts

Forecasts are accepted for all races at BAGS (Bookmakers Afternoon Greyhound Service) plus other meetings published on our website. Forecasts for BAGS tracks will be paid according to the BAGS computer forecast dividend. Forecasts for other meetings will be paid according to the NSL forecast published in the Racing Post. The forecast dividend is declared to a £1 stake.

Early prices or show prices can be taken in straight forecasts when available, and in a fixed price forecast.

In forecasts and fixed price forecasts where a customer nominates a selection that does not run, or where the trap is vacant, then the stake is invested as an SP win single on the remaining named or numbered selection.

If a reserve greyhound runs from a trap other than your selections then fixed price forecasts placed prior to the original greyhound being withdrawn will be settled at the computer forecast dividend. If one of the fixed price forecast selections is replaced by a reserve greyhound then the bet will be settled as an SP win single on the remaining selection.

In the event of two or more greyhounds Dead Heating for first or second place then separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying forecast.

Forecasts are not accepted containing unnamed favourites and if accepted in error will be void - win or lose.

Forecast Doubles/Trebles/Yankees

Forecast accumulators are only accepted as part of a forecast yankee. Any other bet which includes a forecast accumulator will be void - win or lose.

In forecast doubles, trebles and yankees, if one of the stated forecasts includes a non-runner then total returns from any winning forecast(s), forecast double(s), etc, will be invested as an SP win single(s) on the remaining selection.

Tricast Betting

Tricasts are offered for all greyhound races as displayed on our Website with winning bets paid according to the computer tricast dividend. The tricast dividend is declared to a £1 unit stake.

If a tricast is accepted on a race in which no tricast is declared then the bet will be settled as a forecast on the first two nominated selections.

The following applies to both tricasts and fixed price tricasts: if one selection is a non-runner then the bet will be settled as a straight forecast at the computer forecast dividend. If there are two non-runners then the bet will be settled as an SP single on the remaining selection.

If a reserve greyhound runs from a trap other than your selections then fixed price tricasts placed prior to the original greyhound being withdrawn will be settled at the computer tricast dividend. If one of the fixed price tricast selections is replaced by a reserve greyhound then the bet will be settled as a computer straight forecast on the other two selections.

Tricasts are not accepted including unnamed favourites and if accepted in error will be void - win or lose.

In the event of two or more greyhounds Dead Heating for first, second or third place then separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying tricast.

Tricasts are accepted singles only.

Trap Challenge

Odds may be available on which trap will win the most races at either one greyhound meeting or two meetings combined.

In the event of a Dead Heat each dog is awarded ½ win. If all races are not completed or there are any vacant traps then all bets will stand. Dead Heat rules apply for settlement purposes.

Favourites Performance

Predict the total number of points scored by the favourites at a specific meeting based on the following scoring criteria:

Winner = 25

2nd = 10

3rd = 5

Dead Heats are equally split (e.g. two selections including the favourite Dead Heat for 2nd place = (10+5)/2 = 7.5 points, Dead Heat for 3rd place = (5+0)/2 = 2.5 points). For joint or co-favourites the lowest racecard number will be used. If a meeting is abandoned before all races have been run, or if one or more races is declared void, then all bets will be void unless settlement of bets is already determined. Selections may not be combined with other selections where our related contingency rule applies.

In the event of no SPs being returned then the Racing Post forecast favourite will be deemed the selection. If there are two or more forecast favourites then the lowest racecard number will be used.

Settlement of Wagers

Statistics provided by the official score(s) provider or the official website of the relevant competition or fixture will be used to settle wagers. Where statistics from an official score(s) provider or official website are not available or there is significant evidence that the official score(s) provider or official website is incorrect, we will use independent evidence to support bet settlement.

In the absence of consistent, independent evidence or in the presence of significant conflicting evidence, bets will be settled based on our own statistics.
